For my final major project, I wanted to create a magazine that had an appreciation of female empowerment, primarily the way in which women are treated in the fashion industry. The magazine will explore the ethics, transparency, and mistreatment of any workers creating our clothing. The centre of my research and articles feature brands for women, by women. The focus of Blouses and Bias magazine is to raise awareness about inequality in the fashion industry, where women are employed under disparity in comparison to men, even though the garment industry is made up of 80% women ages 18-35.
